Wearside Fencing Ltd prides itself on extremely high standards there for our timber fencing panels are made with this in mind. They are all hand made by a professional joiner to almost any specifications our customers may require. All of the wooden panels are made from timber that has been treated in Tanalith E and also pressure treated. (dipped in Preservative Stain) This process protects the timber from the elements as well as insect infestation such as wood worm etc.
The panels themselves are all made from timber laths and waney boards. The laths are the frame of the panel and also the brace. We’ve found that many companies don’t place an additional brace down the centre of the panel for support, this is not advisable as the centre brace gives a lot of the timber fencing panels there strength.
We offer our customers the service of changing the size of the timber fencing panels, we can adapt them as required any where up to 6ft (1.8m) x 6ft (1.8). We can also add a timber trellis to the panel for decoration. The trellis size can also be adjusted to the customer’s specification. The trellis is also made out timber that has been treated in Tanalith E and pressure treated. The added trellis is excellent to support climbing plants etc.
In the construction of the timber fence panels we recommend that either a concrete or wooden post be used. The post, depending on the height and width of the Panel, should be buried at least 2ft into the ground to give the maximum support. A post mix (cement, sand and gravel) should also be used to keep them in place. Gravel boards can also be used in the construction of the fence if required.
